HOW THIS DAY FEELS
Wonder · Delight
Where old lanes, garden walls and a futuristic skyline make one day feel like several different worlds. From the quiet curves of Yuyuan Garden to the shimmer of the Bund, this is Shanghai at its most vivid—layered, playful and full of contrast.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Yu Garden and Shanghai Old Town
Begin your Shanghai day tour with a guided visit to Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden known for its pavilions, rockeries, winding corridors and koi ponds. Move slowly through its courtyards and covered walkways, where each turn reveals a different view of water, stone and traditional garden design.
Continue into the surrounding Shanghai Old Town, where older streets, shopfronts and rooflines offer a change of pace from the towers that define the city today. Your guide will introduce the area’s history and point out details that are easy to miss when walking through on your own.

- Pickup point: Hotel
- Included: Admission to Yu Garden.
- Transport: Taxi for groups of 2–5 guests; private vehicle for groups of 6 or more.
Day 2: A Flexible Xiaolongbao Lunch
Pause for lunch in the Old Town area and try one of Shanghai’s best-known local dishes: Xiaolongbao, the city’s delicate soup dumplings. Your guide can recommend suitable local restaurants based on your preferences, while you remain free to choose your own dishes and pay the restaurant directly.
This flexible lunch arrangement leaves room to follow your appetite, whether you would like a simple dumpling lunch or want to explore more of Shanghai’s local food culture.

Day 3: The Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower
In the afternoon, head to the Bund, Shanghai’s historic waterfront promenade. Walk beside the Huangpu River as the city’s older façades line one side of the road and Pudong’s high-rise skyline fills the view across the water.
Then continue to the Oriental Pearl Tower for panoramic views over Shanghai. From above, the Huangpu River, the Bund and Pudong’s towers make the scale of the city easier to take in. After your visit, transfer back to your hotel, bringing a full but relaxed day in Shanghai to a close.

- Included: Admission to the Oriental Pearl Tower.
- Transport: Taxi for groups of 2–5 guests; private vehicle for groups of 6 or more.
