Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival: Hanfu Studio and Welcome
Arrive at the Xi’an Hanfu studio to begin the experience. Guests on the All-Inclusive Package are picked up from the nearest subway station and accompanied through the photoshoot process; guests on the Standard Package make their own way to the studio.
The first stage is practical and personal. Take time to discuss your preferred look with the team before choosing an outfit, accessories, and available props.
Day 2: Styling: Hanfu, Makeup and Hairstyling
Choose one Hanfu outfit from the studio collection, with shoes and disposable socks included. The team then prepares your makeup, hairstyle, hairpieces, and accessories, creating a look that works with your chosen costume and planned photo setting.
You may choose props such as a fan, flute, book, oil-paper umbrella, or armour, depending on availability and the style you would like to create. The aim is not to copy a fixed character, but to build a coherent visual look for your own Xi’an traditional costume photoshoot.
Note: You are highly recommended to choose Tang-style dress in Xi'an.
Day 3: Photography: One Xi’an Landmark Setting
Visit the Xingqing Palace or Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (choose one place)
Stroll through the iconic site in your traditional attire as professional photographers capture your most memorable moments. Pose in carefully selected locations to create stunning, Instagram-worthy images!
Day 4: Photo Return: Take Home the Day
After the shoot, return to the studio. You receive all unedited photos on the same day.
Day 5: All-Inclusive Package
Includes:
- An English-speaking companion for smooth communication.
- Round-trip transportation between our studio and the shooting location (about 25 minutes each way by car)
- Hanfu rental (including cloak and accessories).
- Professional makeup and hairstyling.
- Expert photographer for your session.
Day 6: Standard Package
Includes everything from Option 1 except transportation and English-speaking companion services.

Why Add English-Speaking Companion Service?
This service is more than translation. They can help you understand the available Hanfu styles, communicate your preferred look to the studio team, coordinate timing during the session and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the experience. We strongly recommend this service. Please note that the companion’s service ends after escorting you back to the studio. They do not remain during makeup removal.
Day 8:
Group discounts may be available for bookings of 4 or more guests. Please contact us at our trip planning form with your preferred date, group size, chosen photoshoot location and whether you would like English-speaking companion service. We will confirm studio availability and provide a tailored group quotation.
